Interpretation of Calculation Documentation¶

Calculation Reports¶

We have two types of reports:

Project Data
Points, observations, coordinate systems, national standards and so on.
Calculations and Analyses
For these, the date and time when the calculation was performed are also displayed.

Results are saved to XML files. If we want a report (for example an adjustment), we select the report function on the toolset.

Known Points¶

Points are listed in summaries and reports as known points if they are known in the current calculation dimension.

If the calculation dimension is XY, the point is listed as known if it is known in XY
If the calculation dimension is Z, the point is listed as known if it is known in Z
If the calculation dimension is XYZ, the point is listed as known if it is known in either XY, Z or XYZ

Object List¶

After an adjustment or detail calculation, you can display parts of the documentation in the list window. This applies to quantities related to points and observations that have been included in the current calculation.

Points After Calculation¶

Shows the points in the calculation selection with associated calculated coordinates with standard deviations and any parameters for error ellipse.

Conventional Observations After Calculation¶

Shows the observations that have been included in the calculation. The selection of these is described under the pages adjustment and detail calculation. For each observation, you get among other things the adjustment corrections, observations corrected to the map plane and calculated standard deviations.

Satellite Vector Observations After Calculation¶

The list is empty until a calculation has been run. After the calculation, the corrected observations (corrected for map projection, earth curvature, plumb line deviation) with associated adjustment data are listed. As with the other lists "... after calculation", this list is cleared if you click Approve Points or Remove Result.

Levelling Observations After Calculation¶

The list is empty until a calculation has been run. After the calculation, the result of the adjustment is listed. The list is cleared if you click Approve Points or Remove Result.

Single Point Observations After Calculation¶

The list is empty until a calculation has been run. After the calculation, the result of the adjustment is listed. The list is cleared if you click Approve Points or Remove Result.

Adjustment Summary¶

The properties list for the surveying application layer has a separate tab that shows the summary for the calculation.
