Interpretation of Multiple t-test

Interpretation of blunder detection is performed in the analysis list. The list is automatically sorted by the blunder search, but you can also sort manually by clicking the column header.

Analysis List

The analysis list contains the following columns:

Column Description
Measured value The value of the observation (units: gon and meter)
Blunder Estimated blunder in gon and meter.
Redundancy Varies between 0 and 1. Observations with low redundancy (close to zero) show little of any blunder in the adjustment corrections, making them difficult to detect.
T-obs. Calculated T-value. Can be expressed as the estimated error divided by the standard deviation of the estimate. An error in the observation can be claimed if T-obs is greater than the T-table value shown in the summary.
Factor T-obs/T-table. If T-table < T-obs, then Factor > 1 and the conclusion is: blunder. The T-table value can be found in the summary.

Graphical Display

On the map, blunders in observations are marked. The largest error is shown in dark red, and the smallest in light red:

Descriptions are shown below the images.

The observation line is divided in two, and three symbols are used as shown in the figure below:

The distance between two points is divided in half. The blunder marking refers to an observation from the nearest point. Each half is further divided into three. If the blunder marking is closest to the point, it refers to a distance, then to a direction, and finally to a vertical angle.
