Introduction¶
Gemini Profile Generator¶
With Gemini profile generator, you can generate different types of sections:
-
Quick Section
You point at only two points on the screen to get a general section with 3D objects. -
Longitudinal and Cross Sections
You first create a horizontal alignment (line definition) in the SFI model and then generate longitudinal and/or cross sections along it.
Other Line Types¶
In Gemini Terrain, there are also other types of lines, such as lines in the application layer and lines in the command list. You cannot generate profiles along such lines directly, but you can transfer them to SFI models.
Transfer Lines from Application Layer¶
For lines in the application layer, there is a dedicated function in the context menu: Create Line Definition from Line in Application Layer.
Transfer Lines from Command List¶
Lines in the command list must first be transferred to the application layer using the function Copy Geometry from Command List to Clipboard in the toolbox.
Presentation of Profiles¶
Longitudinal and cross sections in the SFI model can also be presented on standardized or custom sheets with title blocks. See the separate section on Presentation Drawings for a more detailed description of this.
