Cross Sections

It is often desirable to document the masses also in cross sections. A special function has been created for this that requires you to have defined a line definition (SFI) that crosses the excavation.

Procedure

  1. Select the excavation and right-click to open the context menu
  2. Choose Generate profiles through excavation
  3. Click Point... in the dialog and left-click on the line definition in the screen
  4. Check Include mass types and click OK
  5. This opens the standard profile generator where you can change the profile setup if desired - then click Generate cross sections
  6. The cross sections now appear in the CSECT_EDIT window

We chose to include the mass types for the building excavation. The program then converts the mass types so they can be used in the cross sections. By running a mass calculation with the cross section method, you get in other words an independent control of the mass calculation performed in the building excavation. Building excavation uses, as known, the integral method.
