Tetrahedron Method

The tetrahedron method is used for calculating volume between irregular triangle networks in application layers. Here, all tetrahedral volume elements within a boundary contour are summed. The method is exact, and we get the same result every time for the same triangle networks.

The function Combine triangle networks..., which we find in the context menu in 2D and 3D presentation, uses this method.
