Presentation Drawings¶
In Gemini Terrain, we create new presentation drawings in the project menu (drawing list). We select a predefined drawing or choose an available number in the list. The first time we open the drawing, we need to ensure that the model type is set to presentation drawing. This opens the drawing with menus specifically for presentation drawings.
In the program, we can choose between several predefined sheets for plan drawings, longitudinal profiles, and cross-section drawings. We can also create our own custom sheets and add these as options in the dialogs.

Editing Presentation Drawings¶
As shown in the figure above, the longitudinal and cross-section drawings read the layers from the SFI model. This means you can edit the layers in a presentation drawing in the same way as in the cross-section editing windows (CSECT_EDIT) and longitudinal profile editing (LSECT_EDIT).
Map Excerpts in Presentation Drawings¶
Some of the predefined sheets, such as plan drawing and longitudinal profile sheets, contain placeholders for map excerpts. As shown in the figure above, we create the map excerpt in plan view. The function for a new map excerpt automatically retrieves values for the map excerpt area from the placeholder in the sheet that was last active.
The frame for the map excerpt can be: * Moved and rotated in plan view * Resized by specifying a different scale
When we are satisfied with the position and scale, we create a CFI/VEC file of the excerpt. We then insert this file into the presentation drawing.
Predefined Sheets and Customizations¶
The program retrieves predefined sheets from the FI0400.lib library. We can also customize title blocks with, for example, our own logo. This is described in more detail in the section on user customization.
Examples and More Information¶
The following chapters describe presentation drawings in more detail. We can also study the example collection for detailed implementation:
