Leica ConX

Some tips on how Gemini Connected utilizes Leica's ConX API:

  • Files uploaded from Gemini Terrain will be available under Sync, then a folder with the name of the Gemini Terrain project, and finally a folder with the same name as the Domain for the selected export rule.

  • For Road, two XML files are exported:

  • One of type 3D-Lines LandXML

  • One Visual Machine 3D-Lines LandXML

  • For Excavation, a generic LandXML file is exported that supports points, lines, and triangle nets.

Tip

Normally, as-built files from Leica consist of one KOF file and one VML file. Both files will be downloaded to Gemini Connected and then to Gemini Terrain, but since Gemini Terrain cannot read VML files, it is advantageous to filter by KOF file types in the dialog for importing as-built data in Gemini Terrain.
