DDScad Primitives, text and dimensioning¶
3D primitives¶
DDScad contains functions for primitives, text boxes and dimensioning. These can be found on the toolbar for 3D primitives in plan view and the toolbar for 2D primitives in presentation drawings.

Toolbar for 3D primitives
In Gemini Terrain, we can use primitives for tasks such as:
- Construction of simple figures and sketches
- Adding text to presentation drawings
- Etc.
Editing primitives¶
Editing of primitives is done via "grips". Standard DDS-CAD functions on the right mouse button are also active for these, such as:
- Copy object...
- Paste copied object...
- Move object...
Command file and application layer¶
Executed commands can be found in the command file tab.
Info
Note that we can transfer commands entered in the plan view to an application layer. The function Copy geometry from command file to clipboard... is also found on the toolbar.
Application layer is Gemini Terrain's storage structure for map, plan and surveyed data and is described in detail in a separate section.
