Introduction

The Gmi application layer is Gemini Terrain's storage structure for maps and surveyed data. As previously mentioned, we measure data for various purposes, including for settlement according to contract. This section presents a suggestion for how to do this using application layers. Application layers are described in detail in the chapter Application Layer.

We import measured quantities to the application layer in a drawing with the corresponding projected discipline model (project menu as described in the introduction). This gives us both projected and measured data in the drawing, providing a good overview of what has been done and what remains.

Procedure

  1. Open the drawing for the relevant discipline model, for example water and sewage.
  2. Import the discipline model from 3D DWG to the application layer (projected data).
  3. Create an application layer for surveys (executed data).
  4. Import measurements continuously.
  5. Create a report (summary report).
  6. Create a presentation drawing.
  7. Export data to FKB/NVDB (described in the section SOSI delivery to FKB and NVDB).
