Introduction to NVDB in Gemini Connected

Background

Contractors are required to deliver data from road projects to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) for registration in NVDB. Datafangst is a web-based system for submission, control, and editing of all road objects constructed (or modified) during a road construction project.

Projects with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration as the client are relatively comprehensive regarding data deliveries. The Object List for completed road data provides an overview of the object types that must be delivered to NVDB according to the contract.

Integration with Gemini Connected

Gemini Terrain supports submitting road objects directly via the Datafangst API.

Traditionally, data has been delivered in SOSI format, and this will still be possible for those who do not use Gemini Connected.
