Road

Profile generator remembers last setting

The profile generator now remembers which layers were selected last time, and automatically preselects the same layers the next time you generate profiles.

Change in profile generator

The profile generator now creates up to five different models.

The editing models LSECT_EDIT and CSECT_EDIT are followed by the name of the corresponding SFI model.

Advantages:

  • Easier to switch between editing models
  • Ability to specify different drawing settings for each model

If you generate profiles for more than five different SFIs, the last generated CSECT_EDIT/LSECT_EDIT model will be used.

Change in mass type for rock blasting

Mass type for Rock blasting (NS3420) is updated, from 1 meter to 2 meters.

Support for individual text heights for centerline labeling

Text heights for curve points, profile numbers, radius, and SFI names can be set for the individual SFI model directly in the dialog.

Standard text heights are defined in the dialog for Road body: Colors and text heights. These are used if the value 0 is entered for text heights in the dialog.

When you open a project from version 20 or older, there is 0 in the fields for text height, which means that standard text heights are used.

New possibilities in the transition table for superstructure

Supports multiple transitions

We can now define a transition opposite to the road. In other words, we can go from thin to thick superstructure, i.e., from thinner superstructure layers to thicker superstructure layers.

Example

Extension of existing road. We then define 0 thickness for existing road and enter superstructure thicknesses for the extension.

In the table for transitions, we enter a value for Load line slope and check Thin to thick.

When we then build the surfaces, we get a transition from start surface with slope equal to load line.

Automatic guide lines

The program now shows guide lines in preview for Load line and Transition line to provide a better understanding of how these parameters work.

Automatic guide lines in special grading

The program now shows guide line in preview for Beam to provide a better understanding of how this parameter works.
