Data Flow

Insertion of IFC Files

Several new possibilities in IFC explorer.

Group by "Placed in"

We can now group by the standard attribute Placed in. This will typically be useful in buildings with multiple floors.

User-defined Grouping

We can also group by any attribute, by creating custom attributes for grouping.

Procedure

  1. Select an object on screen or in the list
  2. Click on the + icon that has become active
  3. Enter a name for the grouping and select attribute in the list and press OK
  4. The option is now available in the list for Group by

Copy Geometry from IFC File (Command List) to Application Layer

If the properties S_IMPORTFILE, S_IMPORTDATE and S_IMPORTEDBY exist in the application layer, these will also be filled in during copying.

Paste Copied Objects

The option for Match similar attribute names has been improved, especially with regard to NVDB.

In the IFC file, NVDB attributes will typically be in a subgroup, while they are at the first level in the NVDB application layer for as-built data.

Now it is checked for matching attributes at all levels in the application layer we paste into.

Paste Points from Excel

Point selection from Excel is no longer so dependent on ID. We now accept point selections both with and without ID. If the point selection lacks ID, new points will always be created in the list.

Import of Classified Point Clouds (LAS/LAZ)

New option to split the point clouds into multiple point clouds by class.

With File - Import and the batch job that imports everything to the same layer, this is the default option, and it cannot be changed.

Support for GPX Import and GPX Export

We now support import of GPX files. The option for this can be found on the File - Import menu.

Export can be found under the Import/export tab in the application layer dialog.

Support for KMZ Import

We now support import of KMZ files. The option for this can be found on the File - Import menu.

Import of Invisible Triangular Meshes in LandXML

Triangles in LandXML files can have an attribute "i" set to "1." Triangles with attribute "i=1" are invisible, and we have previously not imported these triangles.

Now we will get a question about whether these should be imported or not.

Import of Laser Scan Data

The E57 and PTS formats do not contain information about coordinate system, so now the program will always ask if you want to transform when importing data.

Export of Labels to DWG

Labels with multiple lines are now better supported in DWG export.
