New Application Layer Type for Raster¶
We have received a new type of application layer for image files (raster files). This application layer no longer has a 2 GB limitation like the old BGR application layer. The application layer can also be made transparent and georeferenced.

Attribute Validation Is Now an Option¶
We can now turn off validation of attributes when we don't need it. Then we avoid red coloring of validation that fails and performance becomes better for application layers with many attributes. This option is also saved on templates we create.

Application Layers That Fail When Reading¶
In the previous version, we could experience that application layers in some cases disappeared from drawings, especially in cloud projects. This happened if the application layers could not be loaded during opening, and were thus omitted from the application layer list.
Now they will remain in the list, but get invalid status and are marked with a special icon (red X) that indicates this problem.

Invalid application layers are handled as non-editable, so editing menus are automatically grayed out.
There can be several reasons why it fails when reading, for example that it has been deleted via the website for Gemini Connected. If the file can be loaded again, for example if it is restored, then the status will change to valid again.
New Option in XREF to Split Attribute¶
The dialog has received a new option, Split attributes..., to split an attribute based on the attribute values, so that we get multiple attributes that can be used in an XREF table. Both attribute and attribute values are split, and we can do this for many attributes.

Example
Starting point is an attribute where the value contains information about multiple properties of the object:
- Attribute: Layer
- Attribute value (example): 42111-SP-1200
Result becomes three new attributes, one for each property:
- Attribute1: 42111
- Attribute2: SP
- Attribute3: 1200
These new attributes can then be used in the XREF table in the usual way.
Improvement in Function Match Similar Attribute Names¶
This function is available for:
- Copying objects between application layers
- Copying attributes from one object to one or more other objects
The function now also handles matching of list values, for example that the source attribute only has a description in the field and the target attribute has a list with codes and descriptions.
New Option for Labeling Vertices in Lines/Polygons¶
A new option has been introduced in the label tab in application layers.

We can now also display the height in the points in a line (vertices).
Note:
It is not possible to move these labels manually like for labels for point objects.
