Norwegian Mapping Authority Transformation¶

Use this dialog to create a transformation set with the Norwegian Mapping Authority's transformation functions. Using the transformation libraries, you can transform coordinates between Norway's three official geodetic datums: NGO1948, ED50, and EUREF89.

Where do I find the dialog?¶

On the coordinate system management toolbar, select Norwegian Mapping Authority Transformation.

Dialog Elements¶

ID¶

The unique identifier for the transformation. Can consist of letters, numbers, and other characters. The ID cannot be edited if the transformation set has already been created.

From Coordinate System¶

The coordinate system you want to transform from.

To Coordinate System¶

The coordinate system you want to transform to.

Description¶

Here you can enter a description of the transformation. This makes it easier to find the correct transformation at a later time.

Transformation Library¶

The list shows the transformations you have access to:

SKT2NOR1.DLL: Contains nationwide transformation functions
SKT2FFVV.DLL: Contains county-specific transformation functions, where FF denotes the county and VV the variant number

Select the transformation library you want to use.

Extra Points (applies only to county formula)¶

You have the following options for using extra points:

Extra points are not used: Select this if you only want to use common points from the transformation library.
Use extra points together with Norwegian Mapping Authority common points: Select this if you want to supplement the Norwegian Mapping Authority's common points with your own common points.
Use only extra points: Select this if you want a location-dependent transformation where only your own common points are used in the calculation.

File Name¶

By clicking the button with three dots (...), you enter a dialog where you select the extra point file.
