Transformations¶
Use this dialog to view and manage all defined transformations, i.e., predefined and user-defined transformations.
The dialog is used for both plan and height transformations.
Where do I find the dialog?¶
The dialog is opened from coordinate system settings when working with transformation administration.
List Fields¶
The list shows:
- ID: All transformations must have their own unique ID
- Type: You can choose between five different transformation types for plan and three transformation types for height
- From system: The system you transform from
- To system: The system you transform to
- Reversible: The transformation can transform both ways if it shows Yes in the field
- Description: Descriptive text for the transformation
Dialog Buttons¶
New...¶
Creates a new user-defined transformation.
For plan you can choose between the transformation types:
- Helmert
- Affine
- Recursive
- Norwegian Mapping Authority
- PROJ
If you select Helmert or Affine transformation, you enter a dialog where you specify the files with common points for the from and to coordinate systems. If you select Cancel, no parameters are calculated. Then the parameters must be provided in advance and entered manually.
For height you can choose between the transformation types:
- Norwegian Mapping Authority
- Height differences between geoid models
- PROJ
Edit...¶
Gives you the opportunity to edit the transformation that is selected in the dialog's list. If the button is gray, you have not selected a transformation.
Delete¶
Deletes the selected transformation. It will no longer be available to users.
Default¶
Retrieves all predefined transformations that have been deleted.
