Template files¶

Use this dialog to select template files for creating application layers and models, retrieve settings from a template, or save new user-defined templates.

Using the dialog¶

The list window displays all template files in the selected folder. You can filter the list by entering text, so only templates containing those characters are shown.

There are several types of templates:

Application layer (*.al_, *.aly/*.gmi)
SFI model (*.sfi)
XFI model (*.xfi)
EFI model (*.efi)
Cross-reference table (*.xrt)
Excel report (*.xlsm)

Note

Any application layer or model can be used as a template.

Template files can be located in different folders:

Factory default (Sys)¶

Predefined files included with the installation. These are located in the Sys folder. Files here can be accessed from any project, but you cannot save new files to this folder.

All projects (User)¶

User-defined files located in the User folder. Files here are available from all projects, and you can save new files to this folder.

Current project¶

Project-specific user-defined files located in the current project folder. You can save new files to this folder.

Custom folder¶

With this option active, you can browse to any folder, such as another project, and retrieve templates from there.
