Useful functions¶
Use these functions to edit elevations and properties for line geometry.
Where to find the functions¶
On the toolbar, select Application Layer - Line geometry - Functions.
Elevation adjustments¶
Set elevation¶
Assigns the entered elevation to the point.
Adjust elevation¶
Adds or subtracts the specified value to the point's elevation.
Adjust elevation to DDS-CAD grid¶
All points in the selection receive new elevations matching the defined grid (plane).
Note
This option requires a DDS grid to be defined. On the Format menu, you will find functions for this. With the Grid plane 3 points function, you can define an inclined plane.
Interpolate intermediate points¶
The program calculates the elevations of intermediate points based on the elevations of the first and last points in the selection.

Adjust for slope¶
Use this function to calculate elevation based on a specified slope value. All points in the selection receive new elevation values, except for the first point, which determines the starting elevation.
Adjust for slope backwards¶
Similar to Adjust for slope, but here the last point determines the starting elevation.
Other functions¶
Snap to layer¶
Active only for 3D lines. Use this option to snap an object (line, polygon, point object) or line point in a line, polygon, or line definition to a selected layer in the drawing.
Remove loops¶
This option can be useful in some contexts.

AutoZoom¶
Zooms in on the element you select in the list. This option can be useful for long lines and can reduce the need for manual zooming.
Note
The option also enables AutoZoom for objects in the object list.
In the object list, you can disable AutoZoom by selecting the Tools menu in the list.
