Trimble

Use this dialog to export SFI models to Trimble format.

Road

A road description in an SFI model can be exported to the following Trimble formats:

1. Trimble DC
2. Trimble RXL
3. Trimble PRO

Trimble DC / Trimble RXL

We recommend using the RXL format. The DC format only takes angles and distances, not coordinates. This results in a "blind traverse," where an error in an angle has major consequences for the rest of the line.

Warning

If you use the DC format, always check the final coordinate in Survey Controller.

Trimble PRO

Gemini Terrain exports the road model to a LandXML breaklines file, which is then converted to a *.PRO file.

Tunnel

A tunnel description in an SFI model can be exported to Trimble TXL.

Note

The RXL and TXL formats are cross-section based, meaning only the cross-sections built in the SFI model are exported.
