Language¶

Use this dialog to select the language to be used in the program. The program has two language settings: one for the user interface and one for the market.

Where to find the dialog?¶

On the toolbar, select the Gemini Terrain Settings... icon, then Language under Personal Settings.

User Interface Language¶

Here you select the language used in the program's functions and help texts.

Libraries and Templates for Market¶

Here you select the language for the market you are working in. All relevant templates, libraries, reports, and title fields will then be in the selected language.

Example

A Swede is working on a project in Norway, and all documentation must be delivered in Norwegian. It may be appropriate to choose Swedish as the user interface language, but Norwegian as the market language.

Warning about incorrect market setting¶

Warning

The current market setting is saved in the file when you create a road model (SFI), a junction object (XFI), or an excavation (EFI). If you later open these models with a different market setting, you will receive a warning. One consequence may be that the soil types are no longer linked to the original ini files with descriptions and codes.
