Edit Survey Point

Use this dialog to edit the values for a survey point.

Where to Find the Dialog

Right-click in the survey point list or on the map, and select Properties... from the context menu.

Point ID

The number assigned to the point.

Accuracy and Height Accuracy

Calculated accuracy based on the computed standard deviation. These fields are filled in after the point is approved.

Coordinates

North/East: North and east coordinates for the point.

Height: Orthometric height (distance along the plumb line from the geoid).

Standard Deviation

Calculated standard deviation for the point.

Point Status

The checkboxes to the right of the coordinate values indicate whether the point is known or unknown:

Detail Point/Known N/E/Known Height: An unknown point can be an adjustment point or a detail point. The point must be known in the specified dimensions before it receives the status of a known point. If the point is not known in all dimensions or has the status of a detail point, it is considered an adjustment point.

Height Information

Geoid Height: Ellipsoidal height minus orthometric height (Eh minus Oh). The checkbox to the right of the geoid height indicates whether the value is calculated by the program or entered as a fixed value.

Plumb Deviation North: Northern plumb deviation (the northward tilt of the plumb line from the ellipsoid normal).

Plumb Deviation East: Eastern plumb deviation (the eastward tilt of the plumb line from the ellipsoid normal).
