Derived Mass Type

Use this dialog to define derived mass types for SFI objects, intersections, and construction pits.

Where do I find the dialog?

Right-click the Mass Types tab and select Create Derived.... The dialog is also available by right-clicking in the mass types list field in profile view.

Using the dialog

Select an existing mass type in the Base Mass Type field to quickly create new mass types with the same definition.

Using derived mass types is especially useful when you have several contract posts with the same mass type definition. You only need to define and maintain the base mass type, while you create derived mass types for the other contract posts.

Note

A derived mass type cannot be used to define a composite mass type.
