Expand Layer

Use this dialog to expand a layer to the left, right, or both sides of the centerline.

Where do I find the dialog?

Right-click in the Group Editing dialog and select Expand Layer...

Available Methods

You can choose between four methods:

  1. Horizontal
  2. Extrapolated
  3. Slope
  4. Parallel

For the first three methods, you must specify the horizontal distance.

A* = Horizontal, B* = Extrapolated

For the Slope method, you must also specify the desired slope.

For the Parallel method, you must specify which layer to expand in parallel with.
