Drawing Options for Longitudinal and Cross Sections¶
Use this dialog to set drawing options for layers, materials, and annotations in the profile.
Where to Find the Dialog¶
On the toolbox in cross-section editing, select Drawing Options for Longitudinal and Cross Sections.
Display Options¶
The options Show Layers..., Show Materials..., and Show Annotations... are most relevant for presentation drawings. In longitudinal and cross-section editing, it is easiest to turn display on or off via the horizontal list field. In presentation drawings, the horizontal list field is not available, so you must use these options.
Note
The lists in these dialogs include all occurrences in the road model, not just those in the active profile.
Layers¶
You can choose between:
- All Layers
- Layers Used in Calculation
- Layers from Gemini
- Layers from VIPS
These options are relevant for SFI models that contain imported VIPS data. In such cases, there may be two sets of layers: both Gemini theoretical and physical layers, and VIPS theoretical and physical layers.
Under road model in the SFI Properties dialog, you select which theoretical and physical layers to use in the calculation. The following alternatives are available:
- Gemini Theoretical vs. VIPS Physical
- Gemini Theoretical vs. Gemini Physical
Materials¶
For a material type, you can specify a minimum thickness. For example, the predefined material type Blasting (process code) is set to 1 meter for this parameter. This means that rock height below 1.0 meter will be counted as 1.0 meter.
With the option Show Areas as Calculated, the areas are drawn as they are calculated, not as they are bounded by the layers.
