Layer Name Add / Create

Use this dialog to add or create layers, duplicate layers, and rename a layer.

Where can I find the dialog?

You can open the dialog in several ways:

1. Right-click in the horizontal layer list field and select Add/Create..., Duplicate..., or Rename...
2. Select the SFI Properties icon, go to the Layer Name tab, right-click, and choose New... or Edit...
3. Right-click in Group Editing and select Duplicate... or Rename...

Using the dialog

The dialog is used for several different operations, depending on how it is opened.

Create a new user-defined layer

Instructions

1. Select the layer type.
2. Select User-defined in the Standard field. User-defined layers are assigned layer numbers starting from 100 and upwards.
3. Enter the layer name.
4. Click OK.

Duplicate a layer

Instructions

1. Select the desired layer for the copy in the Standard field – User-defined or predefined.
2. Enter a layer name for user-defined layers. For predefined layers, a name is suggested directly.
3. Click OK.

Rename a layer

Instructions

1. Enter the new layer name.
2. Click OK.
