Drawing Settings

Use this dialog to change the scaling or naming for generated drawings.

Where can I find the dialog?

In the Document Quantities... dialog, select Generate - Drawing Settings...

Settings

Scale

Use this setting to specify the scale for Generate - Drawing... as needed.

  • Default option: Auto – uses the scale of the selected sheet and scales it down to A4 size.
  • Custom: Enter the desired scale manually.

Note

The selection applies until the Document Quantities dialog is closed.

Name

Use this setting in Generate - Drawing... to specify a different drawing name than the default. The default name is Drawing %d.%m.%Y %H:%M:%S.

You can also change the order of the generation timestamp by rearranging the default values shown.

Info

The selection applies to all drawings generated after the change is made.

Application

These settings affect:

  • Automatically generated drawings via Generate - Drawing...
  • Naming and scaling of PDF files
  • Formatting of drawings in quantity documentation

Tip

Use the Auto setting for scale to ensure that drawings always fit the A4 format.
