Create Line Definition from Surface in Road

Use this dialog to create a new line definition and a theoretical layer from a selected surface in a road project.

The coordinates (x, y, z) of the last point in the surface are used. If the surface does not exist in an area, the line definition follows the centerline of the existing SFI file, but no theoretical layer is created there.

Where can I find the dialog?

In the toolbox in terrain model drawing, select the function Create line definition from surface in road...

Using the dialog

Instructions

  1. Select the centerline for the source file (SFI).
  2. Select the function Create line definition from surface in road....
  3. Select Layer type.
  4. Select Layer.
  5. Select the Surface that the new line definition should follow.
  6. Accept the suggested name (source file name + surface number), or enter your own name.

Example: Contour Blasting

For contour blasting, you need a longitudinal section for the surface before rock cutting, for example, surface 4.1. Then select Layer: Trench and Surface: 4.1. The line definition will then be as shown in the figure below.
