Animation Along Line Definition¶
Use this dialog to define an animation path directly from a line definition, for example, from a road project.
You can control which elevation is used along the path. There are three options:
- A constant value above the terrain
- A constant value above the road
- A constant value above sea level
Where do I find the dialog?¶
In the toolbox in the terrain model drawing, select the Animation Along Line Definition... function.
Settings¶
Distance Between Points¶
You must specify the distance between points along the line. If you choose too large a distance, you risk passing through the road body or terrain.
Maximum Deviation Between Circle and Chord¶
You must also specify the maximum deviation between the circle and the chord. If you set the tolerance too high, the animation will appear jerky in curves. Usually, it is sufficient to use the default values.

Tip
Use the default values for distance and deviation as a starting point, and adjust only if needed to achieve the desired animation quality.
