Rock and Excavation Slope

Use this dialog to define rock slopes.

Where to Find the Dialog

In the toolbox, select SFI Properties..., go to the Road Body tab, and edit Superstructure.

You can define rock slopes differently for the right and left sides, as well as for intermediate surfaces (surface group 0–3) and side surfaces (surface group 4–7). Rock slope is specified with a positive sign.

Sections

Rock slope is specified with From profile - To profile. There is no limit to the number of sections (intervals). If there is a gap between two sections, no rock slope is constructed there.

Termination Against Rock Slope

When rock slopes are specified, the superstructure layers will stop at these.

The rock slope starts at the starting point of the first surface without superstructure. This also applies to surfaces for medians (0-surfaces).

Excavation Slope

When using rock slope in a cut, you can also control the slope from the trench up to the terrain surface with the excavation slope parameter.

Removal of Topsoil and Vegetation and Mass Replacement

If you have defined Removal of topsoil and vegetation or Mass replacement in the substructure table, the rock slope is constructed down to "good ground," i.e., soil or rock.
