Superstructure (Old Method)¶
Use this dialog to define how the superstructure is constructed.
Where can I find the dialog?¶
In the toolbox, select SFI Properties..., then go to the Road Body tab and open the Superstructure table.
Sections¶
Specify the superstructure sections using From profile - To profile. There is no limit to the number of sections (intervals). If there is a gap between two sections, no superstructure will be constructed in that area.
Editing in Tables¶
Activate a field in the table for editing by pressing [F2] or by clicking with the left mouse button. In edit mode, you can move between columns with [Tab] and [Shift]+[Tab]. Similarly, you can switch rows with [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow]. The arrow keys can also be used to move between fields when not in edit mode.
Layers in Superstructure¶
The superstructure can be described with up to three layers:
- Surface
- Base layer
- Reinforcement layer
Only intermediate surfaces (surface group 0-3) can have a superstructure.

Half-Cuts¶
There is a list of values for soil and a list of values for rock. When constructing the reinforcement layer, the program considers whether the surfaces are above or below rock.

Median Divider¶
Note
If there is a median divider in the road surface, you can choose whether to include a superstructure here as well. You can also select which layers to include. The example below shows a median divider without a superstructure.
VIPS Import¶
The import reads the contents of the VIPS table Superstructure.
