Rock Ledge¶
Use this dialog to define how a rock ledge should be constructed.
Where to Find the Dialog¶
In the toolbox, select SFI Properties..., then the Road Body tab, and the Side Area table.
Sections¶
Specify the sections for the rock ledge using From Profile – To Profile. There is no limit to the number of sections (intervals). If there is a gap between two sections, no rock ledge will be constructed in that area.
Minimum Width¶
Specifies the minimum width of the rock ledge.
Additional Percentage¶
You can have the program automatically adjust the width with an additional percentage.
The following formula is used:
\(Rock\ ledge = Minimum\ width + Height\ of\ rock\ cut * Additional\)
Enter the additional percentage as a decimal, for example, 10% is written as 0.1.
The height is taken from surface group 5.
Minimum Height¶
You can have the program omit the rock ledge if the height of the rock cut is less than a specified value.
The height is taken from surface group 5.
Omit Rock Ledges if Outer Rock Slope is Less Than¶
With this option, you can control whether the rock ledge should be constructed based on the slope value of the rock cut surface. The slope or gradient is entered as a decimal, for example, 1:4 = 0.25.
VIPS Import¶
The import reads the contents of the VIPS table Rock Ledge.
