Import/Export¶
Use this dialog to exchange road and tunnel data between Gemini Terrain and other file formats.
Where to find the dialog¶
In the toolbox, select the SFI Properties... icon and go to the Import/Export tab.
Available formats can be found under the Import..., Export..., and Export to field... buttons.

You can use the Copy cross-sections and Copy 2D/3D lines options to transfer points and lines in an SFI model to an application layer.
The Import/Export from Excel sheet option is designed for simple road design without using a terrain model. In this case, terrain data is measured with a tape measure and slope meter, and recorded in dedicated Excel forms. This method is often used for forest road design.
