Remove Points Along Line

Use this dialog to remove points (typically noise) outside a specified buffer zone.

You must specify the layer and buffer zone (the sum of inside and outside width). All points outside this buffer zone will be removed from the point cloud.

Where to find the dialog?

In the context menu in terrain model drawing, when both point cloud and line are selected on the screen, choose Remove Points Along Line...

Using the dialog

This function was originally designed for tunnel contours, but can also be used for other layers, such as road surfaces.

The inside and outside width are marked with green color in the figures.
