Clean Triangles

Use this dialog to clean triangles in the triangle net.

Where can I find the dialog?

In the context menu of the terrain model drawing, select Tools - Clean Triangles...

Merge Points

This function can merge points that are closer to each other than a specified 3D distance.

With the parameter Merge points closer than, you can reduce the number of triangles, for example, to visualize large projects.

There are no requirements for accuracy, so the reduced triangle net may differ from the original.

If you set 0 in the field for Merge points closer than, the function will remove duplicate points and recreate neighborhood relationships in the triangle net. Duplicate points can, among other things, prevent you from retrieving the boundary contour from the triangle net.

Fix Incorrect Triangle Net Connections

With the option Fix incorrect triangle net connections, you can clean the triangle net of errors, as shown in the example below.

Optimize Triangle Net

With the option Optimize triangle net, the shape of the triangle net does not change. This option removes redundant triangles without changing the shape.
