Contour Triangle Net¶
Use this dialog to contour a triangle net object.
Where can I find the dialog?¶
In the context menu of the terrain model drawing, select Contour Triangle Net...
Using the Dialog¶
An application layer can contain triangle net objects. From these, you can generate contour maps.
Before contouring the triangle net, you must specify:
- Code field: It is common to use
S_FCODE(theme code). - Value: For
S_FCODE, it is typical to select value 2001 - elevation curve. The dropdown menu shows all code values associated with the selected code field. - Contour interval: Specify the elevation distance between contours.
- Elevation range: Specify the interval the program should contour. The program suggests the entire triangle object, i.e., the minimum and maximum elevation present.
After contouring, the program displays the contour map on the screen. The display is temporary and disappears at the next screen refresh, but the contour map is placed on the clipboard and can be pasted into the active layer.
Procedure
- Select the triangle net object on the screen or in the list window.
- Select the icon to contour a triangle net.
- Choose the value for theme code (
S_FCODE), usually 2001 elevation curve. - Click OK to perform the contouring (the dialog closes when the contour map is generated).
- Select the desired application layer in the list and choose Paste objects... from the right-click menu.
