Import 6.3 database

Use this dialog to import old terrain databases (*.rnd files) to application layers.

Where do I find the dialog?

All old terrain databases located in the project directory are listed in the dialog.

Procedure

  1. Select in the list the database you want to import
  2. Press Import

Important information about import

Note that all data in the terrain database is imported to the application layer.

In version 6.3 you could have base model data and other map data in the same database (layer), as the object's theme code determined whether it was included in calculating the terrain layer. This is not the case in newer versions, where all data on the layer will be included in the calculation if the layer is defined as a layer.

Warning

For old terrain databases that contain map data, you must therefore separate the data for the base model and the data for other map themes on different layers. You must do this manually with the functions Cut and Paste.
