Generate Dimensioning

Use this dialog to generate dimensioning for lengths and radii in a line.

Where can I find the dialog?

In the context menu of the terrain model drawing, select Generate Dimensioning...

Using the Dialog

Generated texts are independent objects, meaning they are not linked to the line objects.

This function is useful, for example, when dimensioning zoning plans

Before generating the text, you must make some choices:

  1. Code field is usually S_FCODE (theme code), or as in the example above, RPPÅSKRIFTTYPE.
  2. The dropdown menu shows all code values you can choose from. For zoning plans, it is common to select value 6 Dimensioning for RPPÅSKRIFTTYPE. You must check whether line lengths or radii should be created.
  3. You must choose how many decimals to include.

You perform dimensioning by clicking the Execute button. This function provides a preview on the screen. The texts are only saved to the active layer when you click OK.
