Triangle net¶
Use this dialog to view and edit properties for triangle net objects.
Where can I find the dialog?¶
In the context menu of the terrain model drawing, when a triangle net object is selected, choose Properties...
Using the Dialog¶
The dialog displays key information about the triangle net object, such as area. You also have access to editing functions like flipping triangles and deleting individual triangles.
Flip Triangles¶
The Flip Triangles... function allows you to change the direction of triangles in the triangle net.

Delete Triangles¶
You can delete triangles individually or multiple at once using the Delete Triangles... function.
Point and click the left mouse button to delete triangles. Press [Esc] to exit deletion mode.
You can also delete multiple triangles in one operation by drawing a line. Hold [Shift], click the starting point with the left mouse button, move the mouse pointer to the next point, and click the left mouse button again to delete the triangles. The function is dynamic, and affected triangles are continuously highlighted on the screen.

Example of deleting multiple triangles
A third deletion method is Delete Long Edges.... Enter the maximum length for triangle edges and click Update. The function starts at the boundary and works inward, and the result is shown directly on the screen.

You can repeat the function multiple times, and you can reset to the starting point.
Attributes¶
At the bottom of the dialog, you will find a list of attributes. The list contains properties defined for the triangle net under the Metadata tab. The attributes can be of various types, and you can edit the values directly in the dialog.
