Hyperlink

Use this dialog to add hyperlinks to points, lines, or polygons in the application layer, or to the centerline in an SFI model. The hyperlink can be an image, such as attachments/photo.jpg, or a URL, such as https://connected.geminisuite.com/.

Hyperlinks are shown as small square symbols along the geometry, both in 2D and 3D.

Where do I find the dialog?

The dialog is available in a separate tab, Hyperlink, in the properties dialogs for points, lines, and polygons.

Description of options in the dialog

Option Description
Open Opens an attachment for full viewing.
Add file... Add an image or document. Choose between different file types in the dialog.
Add link... Add a link to a website.
Delete Deletes the selected attachment.
Browse... Opens a dialog to change the path or select a new attachment. Comment is kept.
Pick... Pick in the map to place the attachment along a line. Can also be adjusted in the dialog. Default placement is profile 0, the start of the line.

Tip

If you want to add multiple attachments from the same location, you can select the files in Windows Explorer and drag them into the hyperlink dialog.

Hyperlink attribute lists attributes of type hyperlink or hyperlink list. In the properties list for the application layer under metadata, you can change the type for an attribute.
