Edit Legend

Use this dialog to create new or edit existing legends. You can define multiple legends in a project and insert them into the plan view or on sheets in the presentation drawing.

The content of a legend can be retrieved from an application layer or defined manually directly in the dialog.

Retrieve Symbol from Application Layer

To retrieve symbols from an application layer, you must open the dialog while in a terrain model drawing. The dropdown list shows all application layers that are open in the drawing.

When you select an application layer, the symbol list window displays all presentations defined in the layer. By checking Show only used, you will only see presentations that are in use in the drawing. The list shows one object type at a time. You can switch object type by checking Polygon, Line, or Point.

Procedure

  1. Open terrain model drawing with application layer
  2. Select Gemini Terrain Settings... - Legends on the toolbar
  3. Select New from the context menu (right-click in the list)
  4. Enter Name and Title
  5. Select the first relevant application layer in the dropdown list
  6. Check Polygon
  7. Select symbols to include and click Add >>
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other symbol types (Line and Point)
  9. Select the next relevant application layer and repeat steps 6 to 8
  10. Continue until all desired symbols are added

Define Symbol Manually

You can define symbols manually directly in the legend dialog, in the same way as you set up presentation rules in the application layer. Use the option New symbol....
