Hatch Presentation Rule

Use this dialog to define hatching for polygons.

Fill Color

You can choose between:

  1. No fill color

  2. Background fill – used, for example, in title fields where you want to hide what is underneath

  3. Fill color

Hatch Type

You can have hatching with a single color or more advanced hatch patterns. For advanced hatching, you can set the angle and spacing (specified in mm on the plot).

Available Hatch Types

  1. None

  2. Lines

  3. Grid

  4. Stripes

  5. Dots

  6. GDP types

Examples

None

Yellow fill color with hatch type None

Lines

Lines with black color, angle 0.0 and spacing 6.0

No fill color, hatch type Lines with black color, angle 0.0, and spacing 6.0

Stripes – Single

Single stripes with gray color, angle 135 and width 5

Yellow fill color, hatch type Stripes with hatch color 1 gray, angle 135, and stripe width 5

Stripes – Double

Double stripes with gray and purple color, angle 135 and width 5

Yellow fill color, hatch type Stripes with hatch color 1 gray and hatch color 2 purple, angle 135, and stripe width 5

Stripes with Exact Spacing

For stripes, you have the options Stripe width and Exact spacing. If the field for exact spacing is set to 0, the fill color will have a stripe aligned with hatch color 1 and 2, as shown in the example above.

If you enter a value in the field for exact spacing, you get a different effect. Exact spacing gives the distance between stripe 1 and 2, and between these stripes you get the fill color.

Stripes with exact spacing
