Rotate Borehole Horizontally

Use this dialog to rotate boreholes horizontally.

Where can I find the dialog?

Right-click in the horizontal list field for lines, and select Tools - Rotate Borehole Horizontally...

Using the dialog

There is a separate function for generating boreholes along a line, which you can find in the toolbox (Generate Boreholes Along Line...). However, sometimes it is necessary to change the horizontal rotation for individual boreholes.

Fremgangsmåte

  1. Select the relevant boreholes in the horizontal list field for lines.
  2. Select Tools - Rotate Borehole Horizontally... with the right mouse button.
  3. For the option angle relative to centerline, click Point... and click on a line in the map.
  4. Enter the horizontal angle.
  5. Click OK.

Info

A borehole is represented as a line with two or three points. If underdrilling is selected during generation, the line will have three points. In such cases, the line rotates around the second point, which marks the intersection with the triangle net used during borehole generation.

Example

Boreholes generated with underdrilling and rotation 0 relative to the centerline.

Two boreholes have been given a new rotation of 270.
