Where can I find the dialog?

In the toolbox, select the Combine Triangle Nets... icon, then choose Settings...

Setting Description
Optimize result triangle net If enabled, flat or planar areas in the mesh will be retriangulated to reduce the number of triangles in the result and generally improve quality. You can disable this if you want to keep the original triangulation, or to speed up calculations when working with large and complex terrain models (optimization can take significant time).
Fix self-intersecting input surfaces If enabled, self-intersecting geometries in input surfaces will be resolved. You can disable this to improve performance, or when self-intersecting geometries are not desired (in such cases, an error message will be generated).
Volume threshold When volumes are calculated between triangle nets, the result may contain small, loose parts, usually in areas with partial overlap. Parts with a volume less than this value will not be included in the result.
Area threshold Same as above, but for area calculations.
