Edit GML Object Relation

Use this dialog to edit linked object relations.

Where to Find the Dialog

Select an application layer object in the display, and choose GML - Edit GML Object Relation....

Using the Dialog

GML is a comprehensive format that, among other things, manages relationships between objects.

For example, in the product specification "Location Data for Utility Networks that are Established or Moved," Manhole Cover has a relation to Manhole.

In Gemini, you can manually create this relation, for example, for data measured in the field.

Procedure

1. Click the object (for example, Manhole Cover) that has a relation to another object.
2. Select Edit Object Relation from the context menu (right-click).
3. Select the relation attribute (for example, onManhole or onTank).
4. Click Link to... and point to the object (for example, the manhole or tank).
5. The fields for Value and Linked Object will be filled in.
6. Click OK to finish and save.

You can also open the dialog from the properties list using the ellipsis button behind attributes that can hold a relation.
