Extract Shortest Line from Objects

Where can I find the dialog?

In the terrain model drawing context menu, select Tools - Extract Shortest Line from Objects...

Use this dialog to extract the shortest line from objects in an inserted IFC model, DWG file, or triangle net in the application layer.

Instructions

  1. Create an application layer for the lines to be extracted from the model.
  2. Select the object(s) in the model.
  3. Click the icon for Create Line in Application Layer... in the planning, design, and execution toolset.
  4. Hold down the [Shift] key.
  5. Point and left-click the first point.
  6. Point and left-click the second point (the line will be displayed continuously as you move the mouse in the model).
  7. You can continue the line by registering more points, or finish and save with [Enter].
