NVDB Application Layer Properties

Use this dialog to set up a connection to an existing road object in NVDB. Gemini Terrain uses the NVDB read API for this purpose.

Where can I find the dialog?

Select the NVDB application layer in the list, and choose Properties... from the context menu.

Using the Dialog

You must create an application layer for each road object you want to display. These application layers differ from NVDB delivery application layers in several ways. For example, they receive a globe icon like WMS/WFS/WCS application layers, and the option to export data to NVDB Data Collection is disabled.

By default, Gemini Terrain requests road objects within the terrain model area. Note that objects in NVDB can have relationships with each other, which may result in data from outside the terrain model area being included in some cases.

Instructions

  1. Select Create... in the application layer list.
  2. Check NVDB Client.
  3. Enter the layer name and click OK.
  4. Select the desired road object in the list and click OK.

Warning

Once you have selected a road object and clicked OK in the dialog, you cannot change the road object afterwards.
