Reduce Number of Faces in Triangle Net

Use this dialog to reduce the number of faces in a triangle net by a percentage of the original size.

Where do I find the dialog?

Select the triangle net in the model, right-click, and choose Tools - Reduce number of faces in triangle net...

Using the dialog

If the triangle net contains long and narrow triangles, you can also choose to refine these. This involves reorganizing the triangles so that they have more equal side lengths.

Warning

You cannot specify an accuracy requirement in this function. Therefore, manually check that the result meets your requirements, for example by creating cross-sections through the triangle nets and comparing before and after simplification.
