Snap Surface and Center Point in IFC Model

Use this dialog to extract stakeout data from inserted IFC models.

Where do I find the dialog?

On the toolbox for planning, design, and execution, select Snap surface and center point in 3D model...

Using the dialog

You can generate a triangle net and center point for the surface you snap. In addition, you can copy attributes from the IFC file.

Procedure

  1. Insert the IFC file (georeferenced).
  2. Select Snap surface and center point in 3D model... on the toolbox.
  3. Choose settings for snapping, geometry, and attributes.
  4. Point in the model. Surfaces will be highlighted. Click the left mouse button to create application layer geometry.
  5. Point to the next surface, or press [Esc] to finish.
