Select Points Along Line

Use this dialog to select points that are located along a line or a polygon.

Where can I find the dialog?

Right-click in the horizontal list field, then select Tools - Select Points Along Line...

Using the dialog

You can select multiple lines in the same operation. The function identifies points in the same layer as the lines (or polygons).

You must specify how close the points must be to the line by setting a maximum distance for them to be included in the selection. It is also possible to choose to ignore elevation in this distance criterion, so that 2D distance is used.

You can also choose to select only points that are located near vertices in the line (line points).

Both lines (polygons) and points are marked after the function is executed.
