Split Triangle Net Against Multiple Polygons

Use this dialog to split a triangle net against several polygons.

Where do I find the dialog?

In the context menu in terrain model drawing, select Tools - Split triangle net against multiple polygons...

Using the Dialog

This function is often used as a step in the process of creating classified triangle models from scan data.

Procedure

  1. Select the triangle net on the screen.
  2. Select Split triangle net against multiple polygons from the context menu (right mouse button).
  3. Select the polygon application layer in the dropdown menu.
  4. Optionally, check to inherit properties from the polygon layer.
  5. Select the result application layer in the dropdown menu.
  6. Click OK.

Info

The process may take some time if the dataset is large. A progress indicator will show how far the operation has progressed.

This example shows a triangle net split against AR5 land cover polygons.
