Import attributes with field code XREF schema¶
Use this dialog to import attributes to objects in application layers with field code XREF schema (cross-reference schema).
Where do I find the dialog?¶
On right mouse button in the vertical list field, select Import attributes with field code XREF schema... on the submenu to Tools - Cross-reference attributes with Excel.
Using the dialog¶
Procedure
- Check that the correct field code attribute (cross-linking key) is set under Gemini Terrain Settings - Project - Field Codes.
- Select the application layers and choose Export field code XREF schema on the Cross-reference attributes with Excel menu.
- Enter values for the attributes in the Excel schema.
- Select the application layers and choose Import attributes with field code XREF schema on the Cross-reference attributes with Excel menu.
- Press Browse and select the Excel file. Change import control options if needed.
- Press OK to execute
How does the import work?¶
The program goes through all selected application layers and objects. For all places where a field code is specified, the program finds which sheet in the Excel file this is found in, and copies in properties from that sheet.
After the operation is completed, you will see a status report. The report logs how many cross-links were performed, and how many were not performed due to problems.
Info
You can read more about using the field code XREF schema in the general user documentation under the chapter on SOSI delivery to NVDB and FKB.
